This 'seaside village' is very popular with international travellers for its cafes, shops, restaurants, art galleries, monthly craft market, Yoga, Massage and Fitness centre (across the street), beaches and golf.

There are also lovely walks to the extinct volcanoes (North Head and Mount Victoria). Stroll through the parks and along Marine Parade to the ferry for the pleasant trip to the city of Auckland.
