description of accommodation: This luxury apartment with breathtaking views is located only 400m from the beautiful lakeside village of Argegno with numerous bars, restaurants, shops and a busy passenger ferry port to take you all around the lake. A trip to the local panifico is a must, as is the local home made ice cream from Zoe's in the piazzo. Enjoy a morning espresso on the balcony or take a stroll to one of the many lakeside cafe's in the village. The apartment has 2 large double bedrooms with queen sized beds and a daybed in each. The large lounge has an L-shaped double sofa, LCD TV, DVD player, Playstation2, hi fi, Ipod station. Broadband internet connection available on request (must be pre-booked). Meals can be taken in the formal dining area or out on the large wrap around balcony.
other information: Within a 10 min drive north you have a huge selection of beaches, both sand (man-made) and pebble all along the lakeside. Swimming there is very safe as there are no tidal currents to worry about. Recommended is a day out on the lake on a boat which can be hired from many companies on the lake No experience is necessary as the boats are very simple to operate and there are no hazards like shallows or sandbars There are plenty of places to tie up for lunch or you can simply stop the boat are jump off for a swim in the warm freshwater. There is a fantastic lakeside pool ( in Menaggio 15min drive with an on-duty lifeguard .There is a large supermarket in Lenno (10 min drive away, north) or a shopping centre with hypermarket in Como town.

detailed description of town and location: We about 6 mins away from the village centre with a very safe pedestrian path to the heart of the village with cobbled lanes and archways, past the local panifico with aromas of freshly baked bread and leaving you in the middle of the Piazza where you can get fantastic ice cream at Zoë’s The village has a mini market a bank cash machine a small harbour cable-car station to take you to the village Pigra where you can see Como from the sky The village has its a pebble beach with pizzeria where you can hire sun loungers There is a small food market on Monday mornings where you can get fresh meat, fish veg and local cheeses There are lots of small bars and restaurants in the village A new wine bar Enotica with a fantastic range of good wines available very cheaply. This also serves free antipasti in the evening. Next door is a pub’Il Covo’ which stays open late and is a popular for the younger generationsThe village is on the main bus route and has a ferry port stop for passenger ferries
